HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE DADDY!!!

On saturday we celebrated my boy's birthday. he turned 7 on february 23rd, so we made him a little party this past saturday. here are some pics i took. my favorite one is where he is opening one of his gifts with that "i can't wait to see what it is" look on his face.

the weather down here in tx has been a little hectic to some of us. it really didn't affect us that live here near houston, but it did affect others that live towards the north of texas. this picture is the result of it. i'm glad i don't live up there...i wouldn't of been able to handle the icy roads and whatever else comes with this kind of weather. there has been so many accidents reported. like the news anchor said, people in this area are not used to this weather so they don't know how to drive in it. yep. i'm just glad it didn't affect us. i was able to send my kids to school all nice and bundled up, rick was able to go to work and get home safely, and me, tabitha, and my furry Baby were able to stay home under the warm blankets and sleep til noon (not ashamed to say it).

these are a couple of drawings that rick has done within the past 3 months. he also did one for one of my friends, of her deceased grandmother. and he's gonna start on two more by this weekend hopefully. he has done three for his co-workers and they ask him what he's doing working there, that he should be working for the police dpt. so yeah-he's talented. :-)

ok. i decided to blog since i don't anything else to do. i'll be leaving for work in about 20 min...work...it's been going ok. i started having issues with an assistant manager because she was saying things to the manager & DM the were untrue. she would talk to me all cool but she would talk about me behind my back. anyways, yesterday was her last day. i got to work, she handed me her store keys and said "i quit". i was surprised! but i was also kinda', dare i say it? extatict, overjoyed! (i'm mean, ain't i?) well, i'm not the only. other employees had issues with her too. i hope that the person that takes her place isn't like her. about a month ago our DM interviewed someone for that position because supposingly this other chick was going to leave but she had decided to stay. but i guess she just went ahead and quit. i might be leaving soon too, but to a new store. i'll just have to wait and see what happens in february.
i gotta go now. starbucks is waiting for me (mmm...caramel machiatto...yuuum).

i am happy to say that things are going great at my new job. i haven't had a problem with anybody , except for this one girl. i ask her to do something and she rolls her eyes at me. there are other little negative issues that the asst manager is having to deal with. she is about my age and when she tells people what to do, they don't listen to her. they tell her that she is not the manager, that they only follow orders from the manager. i haven't had that problem, i think they dislike her because her approaches towards the employees are aggressive at times. so last night we had a mandatory meeting. everyone had to attend or they'd get written up. we went over all the rules, once again. and the manager told everybody that they had to respect all the members of management and follow directions given to them when she wasn't around. so anyways , i like going to work, i'm looking forward to learning new things everyday, and let me tell you, my first check was big. in what i made in 2 weeks at my new job, i only made that in 1 month at annas. and i hardly do anything. so i'm happy :-)
